Vietnam Reunification train is the most popular transportation in Vietnam. Most of local people like to use this transportation type cause of its convenient, safe, comfortable and inexpensive.

We suggest travellers book air condition soft berth compartment for these long routes and the overnight trips such as from Ha Noi to the center (Hue, Da Nang) or to the South (Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh) or from Ho Chi Minh city up to the North.

For the short route between Hue and Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh and Phan Thiet, Ha Noi and Hai Phong, we suggest travellers book day timing train in order to see the beautiful landscape along the routes.

Vietnam Railway Department has improved their service in order to meet passengers’ need day by day such as upgrade the railway lines, renew train compartment with good air conditioner, quality berths; renew rest room, staffs well – trained. Specially, the e – ticket system online just was opened that is really convenient to all travellers.

Train schedule from Ho Chi Minh city to Binh Thuan, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Hue, Ha Noi

There is just an unique train station in Ho Chi Minh city. Its name is Sai Gon station that locates at 01 Nguyen Thong street, district 3, Ho Chi Minh city. It is about 15 minutes driving from the city center to the train station and costs around 50.000 VND (~US$2.40) for one way transfer by a taxi 4 seater or 7 seater.

It appears Sai Gon as a departure point on train ticket for those routes depart from Ho Chi Minh city formerly named Saigon. Most of people had updated this information since 1976 but they still keep Sai Gon instead of Ho Chi Minh city on train ticket.
