Tour Program

Mai Chau is a mountainous area of outstanding natural beauty, inhabited by a Thai and H’mong ethnic minority groups. This trip offers an easy trek combined with homestay in villages of Thai, where we have opportunities to observe the local lifestyle of these minority people.

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (Meals : Lunch, dinner)

7.45am – 8.00am, picking you up in the Old Quarter area and depart for Mai Chau.

After three hours driving through fertile fields and mountains, we arrive to Mai Chau. The scenery changes dramatically from cityscapes to flatlands and finally entering the towering limestone cliffs of the valley.

Arriving in picturesque Pom Coong village, you will be treated with a simple local lunch while soaking in the magnificent Thai’s home.

After lunch, we cycle through the lovely villages in the valley of Mai Chau. You’ll see evidence of how life here has historically revolved around agriculture, and you will see tribes on their daily routines such as planting rice, herding buffalos or building traditional houses.

Arriving to your hosts’ family for having dinner and spend the night in their stilted house.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Hanoi (Meals : breakfast, lunch)

Breakfast at your host family and enjoy the tranquil morning atmosphere of the village

Spend this morning hiking around for a closer look at families weaving brocade products, here we have time for handicraft shopping from the local artisans or enjoying a coffee with the friendly villagers.

After lunch, you then leave the village for Hanoi.  Our bus  does pass the top of Mai Chau Valley, you will have the most spectacular views over the valley encountered on your trip.

18.00, Drop you off in the Old Quarter area. End service.
