Tour Program

Mai Chau is a mountainous area of outstanding natural beauty, inhabited by a Thai and H’mong ethnic minority groups. This trip offers an easy trek combined with homestay in villages of Thai, where we have opportunities to observe the local lifestyle of these minority people.

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau (Meals : Lunch, dinner)

7.45am – 8.00am, picking you up in the Old Quarter area and depart for Mai Chau.

After three hours driving through fertile fields and mountains, we arrive to Mai Chau. The scenery changes dramatically from cityscapes to flatlands and finally entering the towering limestone cliffs of the valley.

Arriving in picturesque Pom Coong village, you will be treated with a simple local lunch while soaking in the magnificent Thai’s home.

After lunch, we cycle through the lovely villages in the valley of Mai Chau. You’ll see evidence of how life here has historically revolved around agriculture, and you will see tribes on their daily routines such as planting rice, herding buffalos or building traditional houses.

18:00: Enjoy the outdoor BBQ party at Mai Chau BBQ garden and watch the Thai’s traditional dance and drink traditional wine “ruou can”.

Overnight in the homestay

Day 2: Amazing day with motorbike to Pu Luong Nature Reserve (Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner)

7.30am – 8.00am: Having breakfast

8:30 am -10:30am: Riding on motorbikes  about 35km to Pu Luong Nature Reserve (motorbike drivers available).

10:30am – 12:30: Trekking in Pu Luong Nature Reserve to explore a stuning cave.

13:00 – 15:00: Enjoy Lunch in the village and enjoy the riding back to Mai Chau by taking another road through the beautiful rural villages.

15:30: Arrive in Mai Chau enjoy your free time with your motorbike to explore the Valley yourself.

18:00: Dinner and over night in your homestay

Day 3: Mai Chau – Ha Noi (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

07:30am : Have breakfast at the homestay

08:00am : Go with a local Thai tour guide to visit more remote rural villages: Na Meo, Na Mo and Xam Pa villages to understand more about their culture and customs

12:00 : Back to the homestay for lunch and check-out

13:00 -15:00 : Free time for relaxing.

15:30 : Return to Ha Noi

19.00: Drop you off in the Old Quarter area. End service.
