Vietnamese people have a quote to describe the rich forest and sea resources, which is “Golden forest, Silver sea”. The pearl island Phu Quoc is the place where you can visit and discover both pristine and charming “golden forest” and “silver sea”. After enjoyably immersing your bodies in the seawater or playing hard on the fine white sands, it would be more exciting if we can explore the forest, listen to the bird singing and admire the murmuring stream moving along the rocks.
One of the ideal place to visit the forest scenic in Phu Quoc is Suoi Tranh tourist attraction, where there is the lyrical and idyllic Tranh stream. The total length of Tranh stream is 15 kilometers. It is constituted from small rivulets creeping under the forest canopy, through moss rocks. All creates a beautiful natural scenery in Phu Quoc.

From the main entrance to Suoi Tranh tourist area, you can slowly walk on the trail with moss rocks from both sides and enjoy the comfortable feeling under the green canopy and cool breezes.

There is one part of the path in the forest that looks mysterious or maybe a bit gloomy because it is covered with tangled vines. However, when you already go through it, you will get in the trail, where there are sunshine rays crept through the green canopy to the ground filled with dried yellow leaves and weeds. Walking on this small road, you will feel that your forest journey to discover the Tranh Waterfall is not that difficult.

The atmosphere in the forest is cool, but when you get closer to the stream you will perceive the moderate cold sensation clearer, hear the murmuring sound, the sound of pouring water echoed nearby. When you reach the stream, you can climb up for about 300 meters to the source for camping, swimming, or simply observing the waterfall and relaxing there.

Tranh Stream is not large and the rapids are not steep or high or pounding. The stream drizzle onto the rocks. Sometimes it is sluggish, sometimes it is murmuring. It looks like a brilliant painting that is bestowed for the pearl island. There are parts that the stream flows through the rapids and creates a gentle white waterfalls in the green background of trees and leaves.

You can also immerse your bodies in the cool water of a small lake, where the stream flows through the high rapids and pours down. The rocks along the streambank covered with green moss have an enchantingly wild beauty but also challenging for you to pass them because they are really slippery. Thus, you have to take caution and do as instruction of tour guides before you want to try climbing on them.

Visiting Tranh stream, you can carry with you a fishing rod, leisurely fish and enjoy the tranquil space in a standing water area. Or you can lay back on a dried rock and read books in a place surrounded with the birds’ symphony, the murmuring sound of the stream and the faint fragrance of forest’s flowers in the wind.

If you have plenty of time and you do not want to waste it, you have not got tired and want something more risky or challenging, you can continue climb higher to discover the mountains and forest. In the source of the Tranh stream, on the top of the mountains, there are many fanciful and exotic caves inside the mountains. The Bat cave on the highest mountain, which is about 200 meter high and 50 meters deep and have many magnificent stalactites, is the best recommendation for you.
After long and tired hours that you spend on exploring, you can have a picnic together with families or friends on the streambank. You can have some simple grilled dishes (for example, grilled fishes), sip few aromatic glass of Sim Wine (Rose Myrtle wine) while chatting with each other in the fresh air of the nature. At that happy moments, you may forget the way back home.

Tranh stream is composed from many small rivulets flowing through forest and mountains. During the dry season, there may not has water at all and the stream is not as beautiful as in the rainy season when there is a large amount of water. The most suitable time to visit the alluring Tranh stream is from May to September annually.
