Day tour – Ho Chi Minh city & the surrounding places 5 days

Summary itinerary

 Day 1 : Tan Son Nhat airport arrival

Arrive at Tan San Nhat airport. Picking up and transfer to the city center. Overnight at in Ho Chi Minh city.

 Day 2 : Ho Chi Minh city & Cu Chi tunnels (Meals: Breakfast, lunch)

At 08.00am, pick you up at your hotel and we start the trip by visiting the War Remnants Museum. Tour of Chinatown to explore the Binh Tay (Cho Lon) market and Thien Hau pagoda in the morning

Having lunch at local restaurant.

At 13.00, proceed to Cu Chi tunnels. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation, etc. and were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war. After visiting the tunnels, you can try for shooting (on guest’s account) or enjoying cassava and drinking green tea .Both were as food used by Viet Cong during the War.

Return to our office around 19.00. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city

 Day 3 : Can Gio Mangrove forest (Meals: Breakfast, lunch)

07.40am ~ 08.00am: Our tour guide pick you up at your hotel and head to Can Gio, also be known as “Monkey Island”.

On arrival, we visit mangrove forest to see over 1,000 monkeys, living there, you also can feed and take photos with many monkeys surrounding and climbing on your shoulder. Continue with a short walk to alligator farm, where local people conserve many huge alligators from the “American war” and you can try “alligator fishing” (optional). Then take speed boats to “Sac” guerilla camp built in deep jungle. Today the camp has become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what jungle life in the war must have been like.

We will then stop at local seafood market selling various kinds of fresh seafood regarding octopus, lobster, ray, etc and dried foods. There, enjoy a welcome drink (sugar cane juice) before having Vietnamese style lunch at a beach resort, where we are at leisure for swimming and sight-seeing.

Before heading back to Saigon, we visit a nearby house of local people, then walking through their mango gardens and tasting fresh mangoes.

Finally, we transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city & end the tour at approximately 17.00. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city

 Day 4 : Mekong Delta (Meals: Breakfast, lunch)

07.45am, pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and depart for Vinh Long.  Stopping to take photos in Tien Giang town and overlooking the picturesque flat rice fields.

Arriving to Cai Be district, getting on motorized boat along Tien River, visit the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels.

Wandering into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation.

Cruising to Vinh Long through the small canals to explore the charms of the Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy, rice paper, rice wine and crispy rice popcorn are made.

Arrive in An Binh village. Enjoy a lunch of fresh river food served in the heart of the garden.

Getting on hand –rowed sampan a long canals where you can immerse yourself in nature.

Return to the dock and proceed to Ho Chi Minh city. The tour ends around 18.00. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city

 Day 5 : Tan Son  Nhat airport departure (Meal: Breakfast)

Leisure until transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport. End service
