A short trip from Ho Chi Minh city to Phu Quoc island via Mekong Delta will make your holiday more excited. The beauty of the landscape along road as well as the activities of the trip such as sitting on hand row sampan go through the small canals, seeing orchard garden, chatting with local people, enjoy Vietnamese cuisine and seeing the early floating market in the morning.

TOUR PROGRAM

1/ SHARING TRIP WITH OTHER TOURISTS

Day 1:  Ho Chi Minh city – My Tho city – Ben Tre province – Can Tho city

At 07.30am, leave Ho Chi Minh city. En route, Our bus will stop at Mekong rest stop where you can take a rest and see bonsai garden.

Arrive to My Tho town, visit Vinh Trang pagoda an oldest ancient one in Southern Vietnam. Known as the largest pagoda and the most special architecture in Mekong Delta. It’s architecture was influenced by Vietnamese culture and Khmer’s culture as well as European’s architecture.

After visiting Vinh Trang pagoda, our bus will take travelers to the pier boat for getting on a motorized boat. Take a leisurely boat ride in Tien river to enjoy fresh air, to see the peaceful life of the local people

After passing Rach Mieu bridge, we disembark at Thoi Son Islet that locates on Phoenix Island. Take a leisurely walking on the village paths, visit local people’s home, orchard garden and enjoy seasonal fruits while listening to traditional Southern folk music.

Then visit honey bee farm and taste delicious honey tea with lemon that is really good for health. Local people also have python farm for those tourist, who like adventure can take a photo with pythons.

Take a hand- rowed sampan through the creeks for sightseeing the natural water coconut trees a symbol in the Delta areas.

Return to the motorized boat then cruising to Ben Tre province, visit coconut candy workshop to know how to make delicious candies by hand.

Then cruising to Unicorn Island to visit crocodile farm and visit the remains of Coconut belief.

Having lunch in orchard garden. Do not forget to taste dried Ear Elephant fish that is one of the special dishes in Mekong Delta

After lunch, wandering through the village paths to enjoy the fresh air and observe the pastoral life.

Then return to the pier boat to get on the bus and process to Can Tho city.

On the way, our tour guide will introduce to travelers the symbol of culture, dining and entertainment places in Can Tho city.

Arrive to Can Tho city, check in at the standard hotel that has hot shower, towers, mini bar, air-conditioner , tivi, wifi .etc. in each room.

Leisure in the evening for exploring Tay Do night market, Ninh Kieu wharf or taste these delicious local dishes.

Day 2: Can Tho city – Cai Rang floating market – Phu Quoc island

After breakfast at the hotel. At 07.00am, transfer to Ninh Kieu wharf. Tourist will have chance to see morning streets market with many products homemade such as fruits, vegetables, cake… are sold on the way to the wharf.

Cruising in the river to the busy Cai Rang floating market, one of the biggest floating market in Southern Vietnam. Visitors will be surprised to explore “the method of the business” in the floating market areas. It is really impressed.

After exploring the floating market, visitors will visit the place to see how they make rice vermicelli noodle.

At 9.00am, cruising to the dock and process to Rach Gia

At 12.00, arrive to the harbor and boarding the express boat from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc (13.10 -15.30). End service.

2/ PRIVATE TOUR

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh city – Mekong Delta – overnight in Can Tho (Meal: lunch)

08.00am, pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and depart for Cai Be. En route, stop at Mekong rest stop where you can take a rest and see bonsai garden.

Arriving to Cai Be district, getting on motorized boat along Tien River, visit the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels.

Wandering into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation.

Cruising to Vinh Long through the small canals to explore the charms of the Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy, rice paper, rice wine and crispy rice popcorn are made.

Arrive in An Binh village. Enjoy a lunch of fresh river food served in the heart of the garden.

Getting on hand –rowed sampan a long canals where you can immerse yourself in nature.

Return to the dock and proceed to Can Tho by road. After two hours driving, we arrive to Can Tho.

Leisure in the evening. Overnight in Can Tho.

Optional: Overnight at homestay in Can Tho (Meal: dinner)

Arrive to Can Tho city. You will meet a friendly local host whom you will stay the night at their house. In the late afternoon, wandering around the village to see orchard garden or chatting with local people to experience the rural lifestyle of the Mekong Delta resident.

Having dinner and enjoy some of kind traditional local cuisines. Overnight at at homestay

Day 2: Can Tho city – Cai Rang floating market – Rach Gia – Phu Quoc Island (Meals: Breakfast, lunch)

At 06.00am, boarding on a motorized boat to Cai Rang floating market. In the way, you can see many bustling activities along Can Tho riverbanks. You have chance to know how local people go fishing and transport passengers as well as product by the waterway.

Approaching Cai Rang floating market, you can reappear the selling activities in the past by using a traditional “offering pole” for exchanging consumer goods.

Return to the hotel and having breakfast, then proceed to Rach Gia for boarding the express boat to Phu Quoc Island (13.10 – 15.30). End service.
